According to her, the Gomel youth once came up with this initiative, being the first in the region to implement a project for fathers' active participation in child-rearing. The essence of the republican youth family project "PapaZal" is to provide fathers with an opportunity to engage in sports with their children on weekends or in the evenings, based at schools. "Since November, the project has been launched in all regional centres of the country and in Minsk. This decision was made at the 43rd Congress of the BRSM. It should be noted that during the project's implementation, young parents showed great interest, and similar family clubs began to open in cities and district centres. Thus, as of today, over 50 "PapaZal" clubs have been opened across the country. In November alone, eight such clubs started operating in Minsk, one in each district," said Yulia Zinkevich.
Registration for the family club can be done at your place of residence. Classes are held free of charge several times a week. "Sports activities for young families are an excellent opportunity to promote a healthy lifestyle, the institution of family and fatherhood, and a wonderful tool for interaction between family and school," noted the Secretary of the Central Committee of the BRSM.
Incidentally, the BRSM's youth initiative has also been supported outside the country, in Russia and Ukraine. "PapaZal" clubs have already been launched in Tolyatti and Kyiv.
