Most districts of the Vitebsk region have started harvesting winter barley. According to the regional agricultural production department, as of yesterday, 1363 hectares out of 36.9 thousand hectares have been harvested, with an average yield of 25.4 centners per hectare.
Feed preparation for the second cutting is ongoing. On average, 9.20 centners of feed units per conventional head of cattle have been prepared (compared to 5.57 on the same date last year). The best results are in the Shumilino (11.66 centners of feed units), Postavy (11.20 centners of feed units), and Orsha (10.74 centners of feed units) districts.
