The Head of State noted that the book forum has rightfully become a significant event in the cultural and spiritual life of Belarus. "Every year it opens the international calendar of professional book exhibitions, and our readers are the first to see the best new releases from domestic and foreign publishers in one place, and to meet both famous and young writers and poets," the greeting reads.
Alexander Lukashenko emphasized that in Belarus, the attitude towards books has always been special, careful, and respectful, and the issues of preserving and effectively developing the publishing industry remain among the important state priorities. "I am convinced that the exhibition will continue to promote quality literature and a culture of reading, and will serve to strengthen international humanitarian cooperation," the President noted.
