For the second day, a delegation from the self-government of the Safonovsky district municipality of the Smolensk region of Russia is on an introductory visit to the Tolochin district. An agreement on twinning was signed at the district executive committee. It provides for the establishment and development of friendly and business ties between youth, cultural, creative, sports, educational institutions, commercial and public organizations, industrial and trade enterprises; creating conditions for strengthening economic and trade relations. "We will start with cultural interaction, as on this basis it is easy to build a bridge of friendship, which will be useful in establishing business and economic contacts at the level of individual subjects of the regions. In particular, our groups have already been invited to Safonovo in the summer to celebrate the anniversary of this young city. Since last year, we have actively started establishing ties with Russia, we have befriended the city of Konakovo in the Tver region. After May 9, we expect guests from Velikiye Luki," explained the Tolochin District Executive Committee.
