20 April, Minsk /BELTA correspondent/. An agreement on twin-town relations between Braslav District of Belarus and Rapla County of Estonia was signed during the visit of a delegation of representatives of local authorities, cultural and business circles of Rapla County of Estonia, headed by the Mayor of Rapla, to Braslav on 17-21 April, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus informed a BELTA correspondent.
In particular, the agreement provides for the organisation of joint projects of economic, cultural and tourism focus.
The visit programme includes meetings between the heads of the two regions, negotiations between representatives of local authorities, as well as business contacts between Belarusian and Estonian entrepreneurs. For example, a round table was held, during which a presentation of the investment and trade potential of the Belarusian region and its tourism opportunities was organised for the Estonian delegation. The Estonian delegation visited a number of industrial and cultural-historical sites in Braslav District.-0-
