Sharp temperature changes, precipitation, poor visibility, strong winds, and icy conditions significantly complicate the road situation.

In order to stabilise the situation, the State Automobile Inspectorate recommends that all road users exercise extreme caution and attentiveness!

Drivers should operate vehicles calmly and carefully. Select the safest speed regime according to the prevailing weather conditions, maintain distance and side clearance, and avoid lane changes and sudden manoeuvres. All occupants of the vehicle must wear seatbelts. Turn on low beam headlights during precipitation. Exercise particular caution when passing pedestrian crossings, exposed sections of roads, and bridges. Brake and accelerate smoothly, avoiding skidding.

Pedestrians are advised to exercise increased caution when crossing the roadway. Begin crossing only after ensuring all vehicles have come to a complete stop. Be sure to make yourselves visible with reflective elements.

In adverse weather conditions, additional traffic police patrols have been deployed to ensure safe traffic conditions and to provide assistance to drivers and pedestrians.
