An Instagram page is disguised as an official customs account and looks convincing in its visual design. It features targeted advertising for smartphones, washing machines, and refrigerators at "very attractive prices."
An important point is that buyers are offered to follow a link and pay a prepayment (50–100%) for door-to-door delivery. After the transfer, the attackers cease communication.Similar fraudulent schemes have been recorded on Telegram channels that appear quite reliable, with many subscribers and photos of warehouses.
In this regard, the State Customs Committee has drawn attention to the fact that customs authorities only seize illegally transported goods; the decision on confiscation is made by the court. The list of organizations that sell such goods is approved by the Department for Humanitarian Activities of the Presidential Affairs Directorate; only they have the right to sell confiscated property.
