As part of a career guidance session, students from Secondary School No. 44 in Vitebsk, who were staying at the "Patriot" school camp, visited the Vitebsk Customs.
The aim of the visit was to familiarise the children with the activities of customs authorities, to form their understanding of the customs officer profession, and to foster a sense of patriotism.
Vitebsk Customs officers told the schoolchildren about the history of customs, the main tasks and functions of customs authorities, and the qualities and skills necessary for successful work in the customs field. The children learned about the fight against smuggling and other violations of customs legislation, as well as the role of customs in ensuring the country's economic security.
The schoolchildren showed particular interest in the demonstration of technical means of customs control, including modern scanning systems and equipment for inspecting goods.
Vitebsk Customs always pays special attention to career guidance work with young people, striving to nurture worthy citizens and future defenders of the Motherland.
