9 February, Minsk /BELTA/. Since the sale of travel documents commenced (4 February 2021), Belarusian Railway has sold over 7.5 thousand tickets for trains running to and from Russia, the BZhD press centre informed BELTA.
Of these, 74.6%, or 5.6 thousand travel documents, were for the "Belarus" branded train No. 2/1 Minsk – Moscow, operated by BZhD.
Furthermore, train No. 2 Minsk – Moscow, which departed from the Belarusian capital on 8 February, carried 320 passengers, and for train No. 1 Moscow – Minsk departing from Moscow on 9 February, 310 travel documents have been sold to date.
Considering the current epidemiological situation, Belarusian Railway recommends passengers to make greater use of electronic sales channels when purchasing travel documents: the official mobile application "BCh. My Train" and the updated "Passenger Services" section on the BZhD website (pass.rw.by).
Travel documents for international passenger trains are sold 60 days prior to their departure. For example, today passengers have the opportunity to purchase tickets for trains running to and from Russia up to 9 April.
BZhD reminds that, at the initial stage, the "Belarus" branded train No. 2/1 Minsk – Moscow is operating on the Belarus – Russian Federation route, and a stop at Minsk-Passazhirsky station is provided for boarding/alighting passengers of the "Yantar" branded train No. 30/29 Kaliningrad – Moscow.
Currently, travel between Minsk and Moscow is only possible for citizens of Belarus and Russia.
