26 August, Minsk /Tatsiana Ivaniuk - BELTA/. Over 35,000 train tickets were purchased by passengers of Belarusian Railway via the Internet using the electronic registration service in July 2013, which is 3.6 times more than in January. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of Belarusian Railway.

In total, from January to July of the current year, 268,000 train tickets were purchased via the Internet, including 159,000 with the use of electronic registration, which allows passengers not to obtain travel documents at ticket offices.

Currently, it is possible to pay for tickets for all trains running on Belarusian Railway via the global network using payment cards of Belarusian banks, as well as through the Easy Pay and Web Money electronic payment systems. When presenting tickets purchased online at the ticket office, passengers only need to show the order form for the trip (or its 14-digit number) and an identity document to the cashier. A passenger's authorised representative can also collect the tickets.

When purchasing tickets online, passengers can use the additional service of electronic registration for all trains running within Belarus, as well as for 17 pairs of trains running to Russia and for the Minsk-Riga train.-0-
