The Lepel Inter-district Inspectorate for the Protection of Fauna and Flora reminds that in accordance with the Hunting Rules, the hunting season for male woodcock in 2025 begins on March 15 and will last until May 11. Hunting is permitted by firearm from an ambush (on the flight) from 6 PM to 10 PM. Smooth-bore hunting weapons using cartridges loaded with shot are allowed.
For the retrieval and delivery of woodcock, the use of hunting dogs of the following breeds is permitted: terriers, dachshunds, pointers, spaniels, retrievers, water dogs.
ATTENTION: It is prohibited to hunt female woodcock during the spring hunting season.
