Border guards have decided to take advantage of the heavy snowfall and are rushing to hold the championship of the border guard service bodies of Belarus in cross-country skiing, Denis Glebko, head of the press service of the Polotsk Border Detachment, told a BELTA correspondent. On January 26 and 27, the Polotsk Border Detachment will host 14 teams from all units of the border guard service bodies of Belarus. The competitions, which will include individual races and a 3x5 km relay, will take place at the Novopolotsk State Olympic Reserve School in Borovukha-1. Female military personnel will have to determine the strongest in a 3 km race. For men, age has become the deciding factor: those who are not yet forty will ski 10 km, while those who have entered their fifties will have to ski 5 km. A concert and a visit to the museum of equipment from the First and Second World Wars, which operates at the Polotsk Border Detachment, will be organized for the participants of the competition. -0-
