10 January, Minsk /BELTA correspondent/. Four national newspapers will be merged with "Sovetskaya Belorussiya". The corresponding order "On some issues of reorganization of certain editorial offices of mass media" dated 10 January 2013 was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich and Head of the Belarus President Administration Andrei Kobyakov, BELTA was informed by the President Administration. In accordance with the document, it is planned to reorganize the institutions "Editorial office of the newspaper "Respublika" and "Editorial office of the newspaper "Belorusskaya Niva" by merging them with the institution of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Belarus "Editorial office of the newspaper "Sovetskaya Belorussiya". The Ministry of Information is instructed to submit a draft of the relevant resolution to the government for consideration within 15 days. The Ministry of Education is instructed to make a decision on the reorganization of the institution "Editorial office of the newspaper "Znamya Yunosti" by merging it with "Sovetskaya Belorussiya" by 20 January 2013. In addition, the Ministry of Information is instructed to initiate the consideration at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of OJSC "Narodnaya Gazeta" of the issues of transferring the functions of the editorial office to "Sovetskaya Belorussiya" and liquidating this company. Control over the execution of the order is assigned to the Administration of the President of Belarus. As reported, the creation of a print socio-political holding company based on the newspaper "Sovetskaya Belorussiya" was planned for 2013. Also, the creation of the publishing house "Zvyazda", which united the eponymous Belarusian-language socio-political newspaper and literary and artistic press, was recently completed.
