In Belarus, the regulatory provisions on the state registration and record-keeping of vehicles have been restated in a new edition.
Citizens and economic entities are permitted to carry out vehicle inspections at any registration unit of the State Automobile Inspectorate, irrespective of the location of the unit where registration actions will be performed. Furthermore, if a vehicle has passed inspection, it remains valid for 30 days for the purpose of carrying out all registration actions.The requirement for representatives of economic entities to contact military commissariats for vehicle record-keeping in the interests of mobilization needs has been abolished.
The procedure for the state registration of vehicles manufactured as a result of individual creative work has been defined.
The specifics of vehicle registration, where the owners are individuals under the age of 14 and individuals aged between 14 and 18, have been brought into compliance with the requirements of the Civil Code of the Republic of Belarus.
