Details of the meeting between the Presidents of Belarus and Azerbaijan, Alexander Lukashenko and Ilham Aliyev, held in Saint Petersburg, were reported by the press service of the Belarusian leader, as reported by BELTA.
The heads of state discussed the upcoming visit of the President of Belarus to Azerbaijan.
Regarding the economy, it was agreed that responsible officials from the intergovernmental commission and the governments of the two countries would develop a plan of joint activities for the coming years. This includes joint cooperation projects in the fields of industry, agriculture, construction, and the military-industrial complex.
The President of Azerbaijan confirmed Belarus's proposal to participate in the modernisation and construction of infrastructure facilities in Karabakh.
Naturally, the international agenda was also discussed – the Azerbaijani leader informed his Belarusian counterpart in detail about the situation in the Caucasus.
