Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko, during his interaction with the staff of the Minsk Regional Children's Clinical Hospital, spoke about what is most important to him on New Year's Eve, a BELTA correspondent reports.
The medical staff congratulated the Head of State on the upcoming New Year and lamented that many of them would have to spend New Year's Eve on duty, meaning they would not be able to watch the President's festive address to the Belarusian people.
"I wish that no illnesses distract you, that your patients recover during this time," said Aleksandr Lukashenko.
"As for 'seeing or not seeing' – you've hit the nail on the head. I often think about this. The most important thing for me is to see, to meet even for a minute with people, with Belarusians, with guests who say 'we want to meet the President'," the Head of State noted. "It was very important for me to meet with you today and, through you, convey (congratulations and warm wishes) to all your colleagues. - BELTA's note)".
