Once again, the fields where the grain growers work from dawn till dusk were crowded and festive. Everyone gathered to congratulate the senior combine operator Anatoly Zhilinsky on his labour victory, who became the second in the district (after Alexander Buinitsky from the agricultural branch "Za'yerye") to thresh a thousand tons of grain.
Such a record was not unexpected. Anatoly had already "broken" it for four years in a row, and twice threshed more than one and a half thousand tons. So this year's achievement was expected as something mandatory, self-evident. It even seemed strange after reflection. For someone to thresh a thousand tons for the first time would have seemed more sensational. But Zhilinsky simply could not fail to do it. This is how a labour feat sometimes undeservedly becomes commonplace.
The combine harvester, a huge red machine, moved forward. Having captured the last ears of grain, the reel stopped. The engine stalled. Anatoly Zhilinsky got out of the cabin.
The Chairman of the District Executive Committee, Petr Shikshnyan, presented the combine operator with a Diploma and an envelope with a well-deserved bonus, wishing him further success and labour victories. The Chairman of the District Trade Union Organization of Agro-Industrial Complex Workers, Sergey Martinovich, presented the traditional diploma, t-shirt, cap, pennant, and envelope.
