The Vitebsk Regional Philharmonic will conclude its musical season with a debut concert by its symphony orchestra, the cultural institution informed a BELTA correspondent. The Vitebsk Regional Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, led by Vladimir Belyavsky, was formed at the beginning of the year based on the former chamber orchestra. For five months, work was carried out to form the ensemble, acquire the necessary musical instruments, and conduct rehearsals. Currently, the ensemble comprises 35 musicians, whose debut concert will take place on the philharmonic stage on June 19 as part of the closing of the XXIII concert season. The orchestra will perform popular symphonic classics of the 19th-20th centuries. A regular and busy performance schedule awaits the ensemble in the XXIV concert season, which will traditionally open on October 1, the International Music Day. In the new season, the philharmonic will delight audiences with a number of premieres. Subscription concerts for young Vitebsk residents, organ music fans, expectant mothers, as well as solo performances by the philharmonic's artists and invited stars, which have been popular, will also continue. -0-
