The Ministry of Internal Affairs is holding a preventive campaign "Cybersecurity Decade" from May 27 to June 5.
During the Decade, a set of information and preventive measures and media appearances are planned, aimed at raising public awareness of the problem of cybercrime and methods of protection against fraudulent activities. Special attention will be paid to vulnerable categories of citizens (minors, elderly people, rural residents).
Particular attention will be paid to the rules for making online payments and communicating online. Law enforcement officers will remind that the sale of bank card details is illegal, and representatives of state organizations, law enforcement agencies, banks, and mobile operators never call via messengers. Police officers will also clarify that personal savings kept at home are generally not subject to declaration, especially when using couriers.
