Decree No. 6 "On stimulating entrepreneurial activity in towns, small urban settlements, and rural areas" will give a powerful impetus to the development of rural regions and contribute to the creation of a competitive environment therein. This opinion was expressed to a BELTA correspondent by Sergey Zemchenok, Director of the open joint-stock company "Postavyfurniture". "For businessmen who have been operating in the market for less than seven years, those who are just deciding to start their own business or are planning to expand production by locating it in rural regions, Decree No. 6 offers truly enormous preferences," emphasized the head of the company. Thus, commercial organizations and individual entrepreneurs falling under the scope of the legislative act are exempted for seven calendar years from the date of their state registration from paying profit tax and income tax, property tax, state duty for issuing a special permit (license) for carrying out certain types of activities, and a number of other benefits are also provided. Sergey Zemchenok considers the possibility of alienating state-owned real estate in small towns without selling the right to conclude a land lease agreement and providing it without an auction and without charging a fee for the right to conclude a lease agreement as an important aspect of the legislative act for stimulating business. In his opinion, this will significantly help solve the problem of abandoned buildings and structures in rural areas, and will also spur a reduction in the unemployment rate among rural residents, as the local population will be attracted to work in the production facilities created on their basis. "The Decree provides the most favorable conditions for organizing business in rural areas and stimulates its development. On the other hand, for rural regions and small settlements, its main advantage lies in creating a competitive environment among business representatives," concluded the head of the company.-0-
