Over 100 representatives of work collectives from Postavy and Orsha districts are on an excursion to the Palace of Independence today.
Incidentally, the delegation from Vitebsk Region was the first among the regions to visit the palace after the Presidential elections.
The President's gift collection has been replenished with new presents.
A canvas with the inscription "NADO" (It is necessary), woven at the Orsha Linen Mill, was presented to the Palace of Independence.
An entire team of over 10 specialists worked on the canvas: an artist, weavers, a designer, a technologist, a colorist, a foreman's assistant, a patterntender, and others.
Among today's excursion visitors are the very employees who worked on the "Nado" gift canvas. Irina Kosukhina, an artist from the assortment management department of the Orsha Linen Mill, never thought she would be able to visit this place.
– The scale and decoration are impressive. The excursion has just begun, but even what I have managed to see is very admirable, – shared Irina.
The woman also spoke about the team's work on the gift for the Head of State.
– When the President asked "Nado?", we tried to react instantly because we truly believe – "Nado!". The deadlines were tight, we strived to express our support as quickly as possible. We used our native linen and the colours of national symbols in our work.
Another gift for the President was bread baked in Kopys.
By the way, the bread is from the very bakery that was restored on the President's instructions.
