Thirty-six delegates from European National Olympic Committees will be briefed on Minsk's preparations for the II European Games, scheduled for June 21-30, the press service of the Games Directorate informed BELTA.

On March 28, joint meetings will be held by representatives of the National Olympic Committees of Belarus, Belgium, Great Britain, Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg, Monaco, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Ukraine, France, Croatia, Switzerland, Sweden, Estonia, and the "Directorate of the II European Games 2019" Foundation, as well as the European Olympic Committees. The guests will visit the sports facilities that will host the competitions and the athletes' village.

The II European Games programme will feature competitions in 15 sports, with eight of them serving as qualifiers for the XXXII Olympic Games 2020 in Tokyo (Japan). At the multi-sport forum in Minsk, competitions in badminton, boxing, and judo will be held as European Championships. A total of 12 sports facilities will be used, including the largest ones: the national Olympic stadium "Dynamo", "Minsk-Arena", "Chizhovka-Arena", and the Palace of Sports. More than 4,000 athletes from 50 countries will compete for 199 sets of medals.
