Specific areas of cooperation in the trade and economic sphere, as well as cooperation on the modernization of Belarusian enterprises, were discussed in Tokyo by a delegation of business circles of the Vitebsk region with representatives of Japanese business circles. This was reported to BELTA by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. From November 13 to 16, a visit to Tokyo was made by a delegation of business circles of the Vitebsk region, headed by Yuri Pchelko, Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk Branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The Belarusian delegation took part in a seminar-presentation of Belarus in the Parliament of Japan, during which Japanese parliamentarians and representatives of Japanese business were acquainted with the investment, export, technological, and tourism potential of the republic. "During their stay in Tokyo, representatives of Belarus visited the Agro-Innovation Japan 2012 agricultural technology exhibition. As a result of the visit, agreements were reached that will allow for the intensification of contacts between enterprises of the Vitebsk region and Japanese partners," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized. -0-
