In the Lepel district, events dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus commenced with the laying of flowers at military graves.
A concert programme titled "Under the Peaceful Sky of Belarus" took place on the main stage. Fellow countrymen were congratulated by the Chairman of the Lepel District Executive Committee, Mikhail Kiselevich, and the Deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, Viktor Azaryonok.
The square of the town hosted the exhibition-competition "Territory of Memory". This is a unique exhibition of thematic installations dedicated to the memory of the Great Patriotic War. Each site represents a profound artistic work conveying the spirit of the times and respect for the past. In the town park, a ceremony was held to award the diploma winners and laureates of the district competition of thematic sites "Territory of Memory". 1st place: Motor Transport Enterprise 14. 2nd place: Branch "Lepelvodokanal" and the Gymnasium of Lepel. 3rd place: Lepel Forestry and the Central District Hospital.
On the square, various sites organised by the town's organisations and enterprises were operational: exhibitions, games, festive trade, an exhibition of military equipment, and, of course, field porridge.
And in the town park, the DranikFEST competition was held – one of the novelties in the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus celebration programme. The youth of the district divided into 2 teams – "Tsmoki" and "Syabry" – to prepare the best draniki (potato pancakes) in the Lepel region. The competition involved potato planting, vegetable peeling and chopping, dough preparation, cooking over an open fire, and original dish presentation – it turned out to be not so simple to prepare our draniki. The youth coped well; it was cool, tasty, and fun!
The performance by the vocal-instrumental group "Gvardiya" left no one indifferent. The concert took place on the central town square and gathered a large audience who came to enjoy live music and the festive atmosphere. The group "Gvardiya", known for its patriotic songs and energetic melodies, presented a programme filled with both classic hits and new compositions. The musicians performed many beloved songs that reflect the spirit of independence and pride for their native country.
Arm wrestling and kettlebell lifting competitions were also held – the championship of the town of Lepel. In arm wrestling: 1st place Igor Kryukov, 2nd place Vladislav Tarashkevich, 3rd place Timofey Khatskevich. In kettlebell lifting – the leader is Ivan Maskalkov.
The most energetic participants of the celebration were gathered at the Holy.MIX colour festival, featuring host Igor Vilstarov. Colours, lively music, and unbridled fun!
The evening programme included a concert by Anna Sharkovskaya "Strings of the Soul", a concert by the cover band "NeMore" (Minsk), and a disco with DJ Erni and MC Adahovski (Minsk).
Lepel joined the "Let's Sing the Anthem Together!" campaign, which concluded with a festive fireworks display.
The final highlight of the celebration was a disco featuring Artyom Fenixov and DJ Evgeny Zinkevich (Minsk).
