Open Day Held at the Vitebsk Regional Committee of State Control

An Open Day was held at the Vitebsk Regional Committee of State Control. 10 eleventh-graders, who wish to connect their professional activities with the controlling department, took part in it.

However, only one of the 11th-graders invited to the event from Vitebsk, Novopolotsk, Lepel, and Orsha will receive a targeted referral from the Regional Committee of State Control for admission to the specialty "State Audit". The name of the targeted student will be determined during a competition, the most important stage of which will be an oral examination in mathematics.

The specialty "State Audit" at Belarusian State University was opened in 2023 on the initiative of the Committee of State Control. Currently, 25 students are studying in this field, some of them on a targeted referral. One of them is from the Vitebsk region.

– Traditionally, people with work experience and who have distinguished themselves in related fields were invited to work in our organization, – noted the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Committee of State Control, **Vladimir Godyatsky**. – Now we have decided to train young specialists for ourselves, and this is the second year we have been recruiting for targeted training.

As part of the open day, the high school students were thoroughly acquainted with the work of the Committee of State Control and the prospects for possible cooperation were outlined. The head of the regional department reminded the graduates that regardless of the competition results, they have the opportunity to submit their resumes to the HR department for consideration after graduating from university. The students were also told in detail about the conditions of service in the financial police – a militarized unit of the republican Committee of State Control, where capable and strong young men will be welcomed as applicants.

Daria Khomchenko, a student of Vitebsk Secondary School No. 12 named after L. Filipenko:

– One of my favorite subjects is Social Studies, and thanks to its in-depth study, I became interested in economics. I plan to enter Belarusian State University for the specialty "State Audit". My interests also include sports – I was involved in rhythmic gymnastics for 8 years. I dedicate my free time to reading fiction. I try to develop myself comprehensively, strive to maximize my talents and benefit society in the future.

Gordey Sukhodolets, a student of the Novopolotsk State College of the Olympic Reserve:

– I have been professionally engaged in judo since an early age and am a Candidate Master of Sport. Constant training has taught me discipline and self-control. I am not afraid to act decisively. If something doesn't work out, I learn from it and try again. I want to become a good economist. The specialty "State Audit" interests me because it allows one to gain excellent knowledge in public administration and finance, and build a successful career.
