Oleg Proleskovsky recalled that the Day of Belarusian Written Language is held year after year in historical and cultural centers, with which the lives of famous figures of the country are inextricably linked. In different years, this holiday has already been celebrated in Polotsk, Turov, Novogrudok, Nesvizh, Orsha, Pinsk, Zaslavl, Mstislavl, Mir, Kamyanets, Postavy, Shklov, Borisov, Smorgon, Khoyniki, Gantsevichi. "Year after year, this holiday is held in small towns, which, however, have a special character. During this time, they have all been transformed," noted the Minister of Information. This year, when Belarus celebrates the Year of the Book at the republican level, the program of the Day of Writing received the symbolic title "Dedication to the Year of the Book". "Belarus remains one of the most reading countries in the CIS: on average, 4 books are published per resident," emphasized Oleg Proleskovsky. In 2013, the Day of Belarusian Written Language will be hosted by Bykhov, Mogilev Region. This evening, at the conclusion of the holiday, Glubokoye will pass the baton to Bykhov.-0-
