The traffic police reminded that speeding violations are one of the main causes of accidents with casualties after drunk driving. In turn, the capital's traffic police reported that over six months, more than 100 people were injured and 10 died due to exceeding the established speed limit. Half of all fatalities on streets and roads are the result of recklessness, impatience, and haste. "A driver who drives through the city at a speed intended for a highway is a kamikaze," the Minsk traffic police noted. In addition, he endangers innocent people.
