The socio-economic development of the country largely depends on each person's attitude to life, stated Valery Borodenya, a member of the Standing Committee of the House of Representatives on Budget and Finance, Doctor of Economics.
Today, he took part in the republican forum-seminar "Ideological work in the context of the key provisions of the Address of the Head of State to the Belarusian people and the National Assembly of Belarus" (section - "Ideological support for the socio-economic development of the country").
"Since there are currently certain problems in the economy related to a combination of external factors, the discussion turned out to be sharp and interesting," said Valery Borodenya. "As for Belarus, the discussion covered budget policy, the banking sector and its impact on industry, ways to support the real sector, and much more. Comprehensive recommendations were developed based on the outcomes. The emphasis was placed on the fact that to improve the standard of living of society as a whole, each of us must work more effectively, which, in turn, depends on a person's attitude to life. This issue needs to be addressed partly through ideology: everyone is responsible for their own future, family, and prospects. And the state is responsible for creating equal conditions for all citizens."
The parliamentarian also noted that during the section meeting, the opinion was expressed that the seminar should be held on a regular basis, as it fosters a sense of corporate identity, instils common values, and provides an opportunity to share experience.
