The meeting began with a pleasant moment – on behalf of the leading asset of Lepel region and the deputies, the head of the district, Mikhail Kiselevich, congratulated the Head of the Economics Department, Svetlana Polyachenko, on her birthday.

Next, the deputies proceeded to consider the agenda items of the session. The leader of the deputy corps, Igor Urban, spoke about his work, the activities of the presidium, and the state of affairs in the supervised territory. His report was supplemented by other speakers.

Improvement of public spaces, work with youth, participation in the socio-political life of the district, work on patriotic education, quality of life in rural areas, development of Belarusian-Russian relations, work with citizens' appeals – these and other topics were raised during the reports.

— The work of the deputy corps is aimed at the sustainable development of the district based on the balance of interests of residents, local government bodies, and private business, and improving the standard and quality of life of citizens. These are our main priorities. It is a solid economic foundation that allows us to achieve this balance and ensure the revenue side of the budget for the fulfillment of social tasks. The results of work in all sectors of the national economy of the district are regularly heard and analyzed in the reports of the district executive committee. The results of the year and the five-year plan will be considered in more detail at the December session of the district Council of Deputies, — noted Igor Gennadievich.

It should be noted that members of the Youth Council under the Lepel District Council of Deputies also took part in this session. For them, attending such an event is a first experience. As Maria Kovler, Deputy Chairperson of the Youth Council, noted, it was interesting to observe the work of the session, listen to the speakers, and evaluate the scope of work done by the deputies. “I hope we will also speak from the rostrum someday,” — the girl noted.
