Vladimir Andreichenko declared the session open in accordance with Decree No. 294 of July 24, 2020. "Based on the Constitution, the Head of State decided to convene an extraordinary session of the House of Representatives and the Council of the Republic to hear the President's annual Address to the Belarusian people and the National Assembly and to consider other issues," the Speaker noted.

The standing commissions have prepared three draft laws for inclusion in the agenda of the current session. Today, the deputies considered a number of international treaties aimed at developing bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Belarus and other countries.

The parliamentarians ratified the executive program between the governments of Belarus and Egypt on cooperation in the field of higher and postgraduate education. A draft law on Belarus's accession to the protocol on the exchange of information in electronic form between the CIS countries for tax administration purposes was adopted.

In addition, the House of Representatives ratified the agreement on the specifics of operations with precious metals and precious stones in the EAEU.
