The village of Domzheritsy in Lepel District has been recognised as the best settlement in the country following the results of 2025, which was declared the Year of Improvement.

The results of the national review competition were announced in the spring, and recently the "village of the future" was awarded the winner's challenge pennant.

The honorary sign, confirming certificate, and monetary prize from the republican budget were presented to the Deputy Chairman of the Lepel District Executive Committee, Nikolay Latyshev, by the head of the northern region, Alexander Rogozhnik.

This mark of recognition is not just a symbol of success, but a reflection of the daily work and sincere love of the residents for their common home. Each of them proves that caring for their small homeland is a truly important and unifying endeavour.

It should be noted that the annual republican competition for the improvement and sanitary maintenance of settlements has been held in Belarus since 1998 with the assistance of the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services.
