Results of the Year of Improvement have been summarized, and the best regions, districts, and settlements have been identified. The corresponding resolution was signed by Prime Minister Alexander Turchin.

Based on the results of the Year of Improvement, the winners of the review among rural settlements were recognized as the village of Domzheritsy, Lepel District, and the agro-town of Oktyabrskaya, Vitebsk District, Vitebsk Region; the agro-town of Korotki, Kormyansky District, Gomel Region; the agro-town of Sheni, Pruzhansky District, and the village of Lyaskovichi, Ivanovsky District, Brest Region.

Summarizing the results of improvement in settlements is not a new practice. In accordance with the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of April 9, 1998, No. 575, a republican review of the sanitary condition and improvement of settlements in Belarus is held annually, the winners of which are traditionally awarded a challenge pennant and monetary prizes (funded from the republican budget).
