On August 2, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. Paratroopers from Russia and Ukraine are celebrating their professional holiday in Vitebsk. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent at the 103rd Guards Separate Mobile Brigade of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, which is hosting the main city celebrations on the occasion of Airborne Forces and Special Operations Forces Day. Traditionally, on this day, the brigade's territory becomes accessible for visits. The main visitors to the unit are former servicemen, veterans, family members, relatives and close friends of the soldiers currently serving, young people who are yet to serve in the army, and the city's public. Airborne troops and veterans of the Airborne Forces from other countries also come to congratulate their former comrades. This year, the 103rd Guards Separate Mobile Brigade hosted holders of blue berets and telnyashkas from Russia and Ukraine. The ceremony began with the performance of the anthem of Belarus, after which the participants of the holiday enjoyed a spectacular program prepared by the servicemen of the brigade. Demonstrations of hand-to-hand combat, parachute jumps from a tower, a military equipment parade, a display of uniforms from different periods, including modern ones, and other events captivated the audience and evoked genuine delight among children, who proudly tried on the paratroopers' signature headwear and attentively followed all that was happening. In the afternoon, the epicentre of the celebration will be the main concert venue of festival Vitebsk - the Summer Amphitheatre. A grand concert will be held here, featuring creative groups from the "Vitebsk" Cultural Centre, the 103rd Mobile Brigade, as well as the Honoured Collective, the Exemplary and Show Orchestra of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus.
