On November 1, Vitebsk /Olga Bogacheva - BELTA/. Ten families have been evicted for non-payment of housing and communal services in January-September in the Vitebsk region, as reported to BELTA correspondent by Natalia Yatsuk, Head of the Accounting and Reporting Department of the Housing and Communal Services Department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.
Overdue debt of the population of the Vitebsk region for housing and communal services as of October 1 amounted to Br3.5 billion, which is 20% less compared to the debt as of the same date last year. Among the non-payers are 26.2 thousand families, including those with debts up to three months - 16.7 thousand non-payers (for a total amount of Br767 million), from three to six months - about 2.8 thousand (for Br277 million, respectively).
By cities and districts, the highest level of overdue debt is observed in the Orsha, Vitebsk and Gorodok districts. A low level of debt is in the Postavy district, Orsha, Vitebsk.
In January-September, communal services (water, electricity, and gas) were disconnected for 4.2 thousand families due to non-payment. Warnings were sent to 23.7 thousand non-payers. 3.9 thousand writ of executions were filed for the amount of over Br2 billion, of which more than 2 thousand for Br1.2 billion were executed. 778 lawsuits were filed in court for debt recovery for Br500 million, of which 550 for Br300 million were satisfied.
For long-term non-payment of housing and communal services, 25 lawsuits were filed in court for eviction. 10 of them were executed: residents of two apartments moved to smaller housing, and residents of eight others were evicted without being provided with alternative housing.
"Work with chronic non-payers is constantly carried out by the housing and communal services enterprises of the region," noted Natalia Yatsuk. Thus, specifically for this purpose, responsible employees are assigned to each housing and communal services enterprise. Information for residents themselves has been established. At the same time, regarding malicious non-payers, personal meetings and conversations are regularly held with such people, in a number of regions of the area there is an automated telephone notification system, and management at work is informed. -0-
