In accordance with the Traffic Regulations, it is prohibited to carry children on the driver's or front passenger's lap in vehicles when such carriage is permitted without the use of special restraint devices.

By carrying a child on one's lap, or on the lap of a front-seat passenger, the driver puts the child's life and health at risk, as the child's position in the vehicle will not be secured, which may lead to tragic consequences in the event of sudden acceleration, braking, or collision.

For violation of this requirement, the driver may be held administratively liable in the form of a fine of up to 4 base amounts.
