Young Drivers – A Special Category of Road Users

This year, five road traffic accidents involving underage drivers have already been recorded in the Vitebsk region. In four of these cases, the minors were the ones responsible for the accidents.

  It is important to remember that transferring control of a vehicle to a person who is knowingly not entitled to drive entails administrative liability in the form of a fine of 5 base units.

  We draw your attention to the fact that when underage individuals without a driving license are apprehended while operating motor vehicles on public roads, their vehicles will be seized and placed in secure storage.

  Legal representatives will be held liable for the improper performance of their duties concerning the maintenance and upbringing of minors, in accordance with Article 10.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus.
