By Resolution of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of January 24, 2018 No. 7, the living wage (BMP) for the period from February 1 to April 30, 2018, per month, has been set at Br199.32. The new BMP has increased by 0.8% compared to the standard that was in effect from November 1, 2017, to January 31 of the current year (Br197.81). Accordingly, the minimum labour and social pensions are also increasing; supplements, increases to pensions and additional payments for persons aged 75 and older receiving pensions from labour, employment and social protection bodies; benefits for the care of a disabled person of group I or a person who has reached the age of 80; as well as state benefits for children.
Thus, the one-time benefit upon the birth of the first child now amounts to Br1993.20; upon the birth of the second and subsequent children – Br2790.48. The one-time benefit for women who registered with healthcare organizations before the 12th week of pregnancy will be paid from February in the amount of Br199.32, and the benefit for families with children aged 3 to 18 during the period of raising a child under three years of age (monthly) – in the amount of Br99.66.
The monthly benefit for families with children over 3 years old from certain categories of families, as defined by legislation, is as follows: for a child with a disability – Br139.52, for other children in the family – Br99.66. The monthly benefit for the care of a child with a disability under 18 years of age is Br199.32 (with I and II degrees of health loss and with III and IV degrees of health loss until the child reaches the age of 3) and Br239.18 (with III and IV degrees of health loss after the child reaches the age of 3); the monthly benefit for a child under 18 years of age infected with HIV is Br139.52.
Benefits for children under three years of age will also increase, for the calculation of which the indicator of average monthly wages for the previous quarter is used. To calculate the amount of this type of benefit from February to July 2018, the indicator of average monthly wages for Q4 2017 is used (according to Belstat - Br891.5). Payments for the first child will increase from February 1 by Br33.15 and will amount to Br312.03 per month, for the second and subsequent children - by Br37.88 (Br356.6), for a child with a disability - by Br42.62 (Br401.18).
