On April 10, Vitebsk /Olga Bogacheva - BELTA/. A kindergarten is being built in Vitebsk with sponsorship funds, reports a BELTA correspondent.
The progress of construction of the facility, significant for the city and directly for the residents of the Medtsentr microdistrict, was discussed today at a meeting between the Chairman of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee Viktor Nikolaikin and the heads of enterprises and organizations of the city that acted as sponsors.
The Vitebsk City Executive Committee's Capital Construction Department (UKS) acts as the client for the facility, the "Vitebskgrazhdanproekt" Institute developed the project, and the general contractor for the construction, OAO "Stroy-trest No. 9, Vitebsk," began work in January. Construction is planned to be completed in early the second half of the year.
The cost of the kindergarten, designed for 230 places, is Br36-38 billion. "According to calculations, it is possible to raise the necessary amount if each of the potential sponsors directs their average monthly profit to finance the facility," noted Viktor Nikolaikin. He also emphasized to those present that participation in the project is strictly on a voluntary basis. "This is an independent decision of your work collectives and you as leaders. A separate account has been opened for this facility, to which all sponsorship funds are transferred. We are ready to report on every ruble spent, down to the last percentage, payment order, and payment, in any form convenient for you," stressed the chairman of the city executive committee.
The Mayor of Vitebsk expressed his gratitude to all enterprises and organisations that agreed to participate in the project. These include "Marko" LLC, "Simurg" Medical Enterprise, "Melinda" Sewing LLC, "Fortex - Water Technologies" CJSC, "VIK - Animal Health" MCHUP, "OknaInvest" Company, and many others (around 50 in total). Following the results of the first quarter, Br34 billion has been transferred from the city budget for the implementation of the Vitebsk investment program. Construction of facilities is 90% complete. At the same time, among the preschool education facilities being built this year at the expense of the city budget, there are only two kindergartens in the Bilevo microdistrict. One of them is already under construction, and the design and estimate documentation for the construction of the third kindergarten and the second school in this area has been developed, however, their construction has not yet begun. The commissioning of these facilities will help solve the problem of admitting children to school and preschool institutions in this district of Vitebsk.
At the same time, the city is actively developing. Very recently, more than 20 multi-story buildings were constructed in the Medtsentr microdistrict, most of which have been occupied by young and large families. Currently, the happy new residents are facing the problem of admitting children to preschool institutions. "Their construction was not planned under the investment program for this year, so, of course, we could have explained this to people and asked them to wait. However, we decided to choose a more difficult path – to build a facility so necessary for the people at the expense of sponsorship funds," noted the mayor of the city.
The first meeting with potential investors took place at the end of November 2011. "I am grateful that you treated this issue with understanding and supported this idea," thanked all participants Viktor Nikolaikin. -0-
