The dialogue platform "The Future Depends on Us" was held at the gymnasium and became a venue for discussing various topics: the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle, as well as the personal contribution of Belarusians to the prosperity of their native land.

The event was attended by Sergey Meshkleshkin, Member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, Head of the Vitebsk Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Veronika Khombak, Deputy Chairperson of the District Executive Committee, teachers and students of the city's schools.

"Your health today is the foundation for further physical improvement. Now is the best time for personal development; investing in yourself is an investment in your own future," said Sergey Meshkleshkin, opening the meeting.

The discussion then moved on to the country's information space.

"The modern world and technologies allow us to enjoy all the benefits, including informational ones. To correctly perceive information and derive benefit from it, rather than imposed external opinions, one needs to possess critical thinking and learn to distinguish truth from fiction," emphasized the senator.

In addition to topics related to everyone's daily life, Sergey Meshkleshkin touched upon the theme of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

At the meeting, students were able to ask the senator questions of interest, which concerned both service in the Ministry of Emergency Situations system, as well as public activities and personal life.
