18 October, Vitebsk /Diana Kurilo - BELTA/. Remote employment can enhance the potential of the labour force in the Eurasian Economic Union. This opinion was expressed in a conversation with a BELTA correspondent by Marina Ludanik, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor at the Department of Labour and Personnel Economics of the Faculty of Economics at Lomonosov Moscow State University. She is participating in the international scientific and practical conference "Socio-economic Development of Organizations and Regions of Belarus: Sustainability, Development, Innovations," which is taking place today at the Vitebsk State Technological University. Identical processes are occurring in the labour markets of Russia and Belarus, related to the increase in the number of jobs and the need to create decent working conditions for them, including, among other things, wages and organisational aspects. "The time has come to consolidate efforts in the labour market within the Eurasian Economic Union, directing them towards new forms of employment. In particular, towards remote employment, which connects workplaces through virtual space and allows for joint action in the labour market," believes Marina Ludanik. According to her, remote employment not only helps to address the issues of creating attractive working conditions for employees but also involves at-risk groups in work activities – people with disabilities, youth, women, and older people. "Virtual space allows for the engagement of these population categories so that the labour market has a higher potential of labour resources," emphasised the scientist.-0-
