The Ministry of Internal Affairs, in conjunction with the Ministry of Transport and Communications, as part of efforts to ensure road traffic safety in passenger transportation, has decided to organise additional measures. The majority of these measures are preventive in nature.
Specifically, State Automobile Inspectorate (GAI) officers have been instructed to provide assistance to business entities engaged in the aforementioned activities. Furthermore, priority is given to preventing violations such as the absence of roadworthiness certificates for participation in traffic or documents authorising passenger transportation services, and exceeding speed limits.
Particular attention has been drawn to the inspectorate staff regarding the need to identify possible instances of vehicle retrofitting through an increase in seating capacity not provided for by the vehicle's design.
The Ministry of Transport and Communications has developed a set of measures aimed at enhancing the legal awareness and responsibility of producers of transport work and services carrying passengers on regular routes.
These measures include conducting raids, analytical and preventive activities to improve road traffic safety. Routes with the highest public risk in passenger transportation have been identified. Joint supervision by officers of the State Automobile and Transport Inspectorates is mandated on these routes.
