Voluntary People's Patrol in Borouka, Lepel region, continues traditions

The Chairman of the Borovskoye rural council, Valery Kleshtorny, has been awarded a Certificate of Merit from the Ministry of Internal Affairs "For Assistance". A clear indicator of assistance to law enforcement agencies is the work of the voluntary people's дружына (squad), established at the rural executive committee about four years ago. It continues the traditions of the DND (people's дружына), which was created by internationalist soldiers in 1995. Currently, there are thirteen дружыннікі (squad members) in Borovka. The team is headed by Pyotr Gaychenya. They are on duty every weekend – patrolling the territory, attending discos, public catering establishments, visiting families in need of support, and participating in information and explanatory work.
