19 August, Slutsk /Nadezhda Radivon - BELTA/. Additional measures for moral and material incentives for educators are planned to be adopted in Belarus. This was announced today in Slutsk at the regional conference of pedagogical workers "Initiative and Innovation - The Foundation and Vector of Development of Educational Practice in the Minsk Region" by the Minister of Education, Sergey Maskevich, reports BELTA correspondent.
"I hope that by the end of this year, special decisions will be made regarding additional material and moral incentives for educators," said Sergey Maskevich.
According to him, schools should have more opportunities for employees who have achieved significant results in their work to receive decent remuneration. The introduction of new awards for employees of the education system is envisaged. Another possible innovation is the exemption of educational institutions from non-core functions, such as financial and economic services, and the organization of student transportation. In Sergey Maskevich's opinion, the main task of the school is to increase the efficiency of the educational process. Other functions should be undertaken by specialized units in the districts. Corresponding changes to the regulatory framework are being prepared.
This academic year, educational institutions will operate under a new educational code and must develop optimal solutions in practice aimed at saving funds and organizing a high-quality educational process. -0-
