A Safe Road!

Unseasonably warm weather will persist over the weekend. Precipitation is expected in some areas, with icy conditions on the roads. The State Automobile Inspectorate is taking additional measures to ensure road safety.

Officers are focused on assisting road users and preventing serious violations of traffic regulations by both drivers and pedestrians. Increased attention will be paid to compliance with speed limits, rules for overtaking and crossing the roadway, monitoring the use of retroreflective elements, seat belts, child safety seats, as well as the timely removal from road traffic of individuals who are intoxicated or have driven without a license.

When choosing speed, drivers should consider the road surface condition and visibility, and avoid sudden lane changes and maneuvers. Be especially attentive on curves and turns, and when approaching crossings.

Pedestrians should exercise increased caution when crossing the road. Begin crossing only after ensuring all vehicles have stopped. In conditions of poor visibility and darkness, it is important to make yourself visible by using retroreflective elements.
