A road does not forgive mistakes!

The State Automobile Inspectorate is holding a Unified Road Safety Day under the slogan "The road does not forgive mistakes!". Preventive measures are aimed at preventing road traffic accidents with severe consequences and promoting compliance by all road users with safe behaviour rules, fostering legal culture and mutual respect.

Traffic police officers will conduct explanatory work in work collectives and educational institutions, reminding about the consequences of reckless behaviour and responsibility for various violations in the field of road safety.

Traffic police inspectors are strengthening control on the roads and taking additional measures to ensure pedestrian safety. Increased attention will be paid to the timely removal of intoxicated drivers and drivers without a license from road traffic, and to monitoring compliance with rules for using communication devices while driving. Crews from the special traffic police unit "Strela" of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will join the raid activities in the Gomel and Minsk regions.

It is important for all road users to observe traffic regulations. Drivers should consider speed limits, weather conditions, and strictly comply with traffic light signals and road signs. Pedestrians should be predictable, look around, and use retro-reflective elements to make themselves visible in the dark.

Round-the-clock monitoring of the road situation has been organised. Traffic police crews are oriented towards providing assistance to road users.
