During the weekend, the State Automobile Inspectorate will intensify traffic control, with a special focus on places of mass public recreation.
On Saturday, festive events will be held in the capital on the occasion of City Day, and a motorcycle parade will take place. Citizens should arrive in advance, planning their travel routes by both private and public transport.The "LIDBEER 2025" festival will be held in the Grodno region. To ensure road traffic safety in Lida and Lida district, the special traffic police unit "Strela" of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will provide practical assistance.
Traffic police patrols will concentrate on preventing instances of driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding violations, overtaking and pedestrian crossing offences. Inspectors will also monitor the use of passive safety devices by drivers and passengers – seat belts, motorcycle helmets, and child restraint systems.
The State Automobile Inspectorate urges drivers to avoid risky behaviour on the roads and refrain from abrupt manoeuvres when travelling on suburban highways. Do not abuse alcohol and do not drive while intoxicated.
