Ded Moroz's work as a state automobile inspector will begin with a visit to the Vitebsk Children's Social Orphanage. At the festive event, he will present New Year's gifts to the children, talk about the importance of observing traffic rules, and also check their awareness of these rules during a fun quiz.
The main character of winter fairy tales will experience the rigorous work of traffic police officers on December 30. Overall, the concluding year has been marked by a decrease in road accidents in the Vitebsk region. As of December 26, there were 649 road traffic accidents in the region, which is 15.1% less than on the same date last year. In accidents during this period, 152 people died (at the same level as the corresponding period in 2010), and about 650 people were injured (a decrease of 16.3%). 73 accidents involving children were recorded (a decrease of 6.4%).
