At the same time, many do not even suspect that in some cases, a tax inspector, rather than a buyer or client, may visit them.

According to Larisa Karas, chief state tax inspector of the Inspectorate of Taxes and Duties for Lepel District, there were significantly fewer advertisements on the city website "Lepel.by" in 2011. Monitoring the internet is one of the methods for identifying legislative violators. In 2012, 22 people were held accountable based on advertisements. Initially, we issue a warning, and the violator pays a unified tax, which has various fixed amounts depending on the type of goods or services offered. For a repeated violation within a year, a citizen may face a fine of up to 50 base units.

Among the frequently posted advertisements are those such as "looking for a fellow traveller to...", "hairdressing, makeup, massage services", "kittens for sale", "event hosting". Of course, not all internet users realise they are breaking the law; they simply "browse" the website in their free time, out of curiosity, looking at who is selling or offering what...

The thought arises: "I could place an advertisement too; it's completely free, and maybe I'll earn a little extra money." For example, a driver who tries to "taxi" to a planned settlement for the first time in a car with up to six seats inclusive will pay 370,000 roubles. If the car has seven seats or more, the amount increases to 470,000 roubles. And these are not all the nuances; the time of transportation also matters. During the period from 24:00 to 06:00, the unified tax for a six-seater car will be 510,000 roubles, and for a car with a larger capacity – 580,000 roubles.

Inspectors know what to look out for and clearly distinguish between giving away a puppy or kitten to a good home and unregistered business activities. The single tax rate for an individual entrepreneur selling kittens or puppies, provided they keep an adult animal (dog or cat), is 290 thousand rubles. Among the residents of Lepel, there will be those who, after reading the above, will feel sorry for those caught, however, there is another side to the issue. Larisa Grigoryevna gives an example of when a young colleague came for a manicure and could not sit through the entire procedure because the quality of the service provided at home was low, instilling distrust in the tools used. Among the non-standard advertisements, the inspectors recall "the first dance for newlyweds," "bouquet arrangement," and even an offer of intimate services, the details of which are not disclosed for ethical reasons.

One-off sales of new items, used goods – they are not taxed, and personal property fall under the category of "safe" advertisements. If a landlord wants to rent out their property, it is perfectly legal, but if they want to rent it out on a daily basis, it is considered entrepreneurial activity.
