The Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Aleksandr Subbotin, visited the branch "Vitebsk Prefabricated Reinforced Concrete Plant No. 3" of JSC "Krichevtsementoshifer" and assessed the enterprise's performance.
The head of the northern region familiarised himself with the range of products manufactured by the plant. He was informed about the enterprise's successes in foreign and domestic markets, as well as its plans. According to the plant's management, this year they intend to achieve an export level of 120-130% compared to 2021.
"The assessment is most positive, because what was here a few years ago and what we see now is commendable. Export markets are being developed intensively, and the plant is working very well for the domestic market," noted Aleksandr Subbotin. "I think our main problem is roads. Perhaps we will direct our efforts towards concrete roads. According to calculations, they are even slightly cheaper than asphalt and are durable. Of course, there are many components here not only for housing construction but also for agriculture. This will be extremely important and in demand now."
According to Aleksandr Subbotin, enterprises in the Vitebsk region have overcome the "shock of the initial sanctions blows." "They are trying to strangle us, and to strangle us intensively. But it is gratifying to see that not a single enterprise has fallen to its knees; all are promptly finding new logistics chains, suppliers of equipment, spare parts, raw materials, and product sales. All this, of course, takes time, but it is spent an order of magnitude less than it could have been. Everyone is very actively seeking new markets, new clients, and partners. And it is all working out," concluded the head of the northern region.
