The own revenues of the International Arts Festival "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" in 2011 are expected to increase compared to 2010, amounting to at least Br7.7 billion. This was announced by Vladimir Terentyev, Head of the Culture Department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, today at an executive committee meeting, as reported by a BELTA correspondent. The cost recovery of the international festival is growing year by year. In 2010, it was 59.8% compared to 53.1% in 2009. Last year, the festival earned Br7.6 billion, which is almost double the income received in 2008. Br333.1 million was obtained from the surplus revenues of the XIX festival. Despite a 10% reduction in budget financing for the XX festival, Br13.6 billion will be allocated from the budget for its organisation, including Br2.8 billion from the President's reserve fund, about 25 million Russian roubles from the Union State budget, and Br300 million from the Ministry of Culture. The festival's own revenues will amount to Br7.7 billion, including Br6.8 billion from ticket sales. Br952 million are sponsorship funds. The festival expects to receive Br737 million from advertising. The XX International Arts Festival "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" will be held from July 8 to 14, 2011.
